Vanilla White Sauce for Waffles
A great alternative to syrups.

Equipment
- 1 sauce pan
Ingredients
- 3 c milk
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 t butter
- 3 T cornstarch
Instructions
- Heat milk in saucepan
- Add sugar
- Thicken with cornstarch
- Add salt, vanilla, butter
- Serve hot over waffles or pancakes
Notes
Vanilla white sauce was common when waffles or pancakes were served at the Wiens Roth house. A great alternative to syrup.
