Bierrocks

Ingredients

  • 1 onions chopped
  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 3 lbs cabbage small head or 1/2 large head
  • 1 T salt
  • 2 t pepper
  • 3 c yellow cheese grated
  • 3 loaves Rhoades Frozen Bread defrost in fridge overnight; or use your own dough

Instructions

  • Brown beef and onion; drain excess grease.
  • Cook cabbage until just tender. Drain in colander.
  • Mix beef, onion, cabbage, cheese, salt and pepper.
  • Roll dough to 1/4 in thick. Cut into 5 in squares.
  • In middle of squares, place 2 T [heaping] of mixture. Bring all four corners together, and place seam down on sheet. Let rise for 15-30 min.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min, until brown. Brush with oil. Serve hot or freeze.
