Ingredients

  • 2 g cider sweet
  • 2 lemons lemons w/ rind, pulp
  • 2 oranges oranges w/ rind, pulp
  • 1/2 t ground cloves
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • 2 apples baked apples
  • 1 cinnamon bark cinnamon barked finely chopped
  • 2 c sugar

Instructions

  • Combine cider, sugar, and spices. Heat; stir to avoid boiling.
  • Chop lemons and oranges into 1/2 inch pieces, including rind and pulp. Add to heated cider.
  • Remove baked apple pulp from skin and put thru fine sieve to eliminate core pieces and seeds. Add to hot cider.
  • Continue to slowly stir cider, spices, and fruit for 15+ min until fruit is heated and mixed.
  • Serve hot. Keep leftover Wassail refrigerated.
