Banana Bread [Karen]

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c bananas, mushed
  • 1-2 c flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 c nuts

Instructions

  • Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and bananas.
  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nuts. Mix well.
  • Pour into greased 9x5x3 loaf pans. Push batter into corners. Leave a center hollow. Let stand 20 min.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min. Cool before serving.

Flo's Cranberry Relish

A relish of chopped ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg cranberries, grind wash cranberries before using
  • 1-2 apples apples, chopped
  • 1 sm can pineapple, crushed, undrained
  • celery, chopped fine
  • 4 slices orange
  • sugar, to taste
  • grapes wash before using
  • pecans, whole place on top of finished dish

Instructions

  • Wash and grind cranberries
  • Add apples, pineapple, celery, orange slices
  • Add sugar to taste; and grapes
  • Place pecans over the top of the finished dish.
