Karen and I left Palmer Lake and drove to Glenwood Springs, stopping frequently in Glenwood Canyon to enjoy the river and canyon it runs through. We stayed at the Hotel Denver in Glenwood Springs, in a small room overlooking the street life by the train station. A beautiful historic grand piano in the lobby caught my eye. We left early Thu AM for Bryce.

Thu, Oct 13.
We exited I-70 west of Green River, UT on to Hwy 24 to Hanksville. Soon Karen’s [and my] great adventure began as we drove to Hanksville–our last stop in ‘present time’. We stopped at the vistor’s center and then headed west through Capitol Reef National Park, to Hwy 12, where we headed south through part of Capitol Reef to Boulder, UT.
