Shoo Fly Pie – Grandma Reschly

Shoo Fly Pie – Grandma Reschly

Grandma Reschly often made shoo fly pie. It was there among the other pies when the large family came to grandma's house for Thanksgiving dinner, or other occasions. Church potlucks usually had a few shoo fly pies among the desserts as well. Sorghum molasses was often used because there use to be a mill in the region.
